AHERA Asbestos Inspection Seattle

Asbestos & Demolition Commercial / Residential

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral (magnesium silicate) fiber that has been widely used in many construction materials and manufactured products, from insulation to vinyl flooring to spray-on "popcorn" ceilings. Left undisturbed and in good condition, these products can perform as intended. Problems arise, however, when they deteriorate and fall apart or are disturbed through the actions associated with demolition and renovation. These activities can cause asbestos to break down into tiny fibers that become airborne, are easily inhaled, and settle deep into the lungs. Medical research tells us that asbestos fibers can cause lung cancer, asbestosis, or mesothelioma, a related terminal cancer of the tissue lining the chest cavity, several years after inhalation.

That's why asbestos is classified as a hazardous air pollutant by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and why demolition and renovation projects must comply with certain asbestos requirements before they begin. For a certified inspector call 425.608.9553

Sammamish Home Inspections

Sammamish,WA Home Inspectors
As a leading real estate inspection professionals in King County, we want to explain our views on the necessity of hiring a qualified home inspector in Sammamish when you buy a home. A home inspection, by a qualified home inspector, greatly reduces the chances that the home you are buying will have serious problems. In the wet climate here in the Pacific Northwest, a perfect breeding ground for rot and wood destroying insects, the inspection for wood destroying organisms is absolutely essential. In fact, in this state, any inspector hired as part of a real estate transaction must be licensed and is mandated to perform an inspection for wood destroying organisms. The law allows a buyer to choose to waive having a home inspection, but if an inspector is hired, the inspector must be state licensed to inspect for wood destroying organisms and such an inspection must take place. So before you buy that lake view property in Sammamish Call us for a home inspection. Deck Missing Support? Not in Seattle,Wa

Our recent deck inspection on this Seattle Washington home found many issues dealing with major structural support of the home owners decks. Decks are often thought of as a great area to entertain and have family cookouts on. But way too often these decks are not properly constructed and with the missing support brackets and lags bolts disaster could easily happen when the load exceeds the holding capacity of the nails holding the structure. Many people have been seriously hurt or killed from the builder passing on installing these low cost support items. so before your next patio deck event call us for as inspection and enjoy your deck! Call Pacific Northwest Inspections Group, LLC @ 425.608.9553 today!

Scuba Gear Needed

Mold spores, the seeds of mold, are in the air everywhere. All they need to grow is organic material such as wood, the right temperature range, and moisture. Of these, the only one that can be controlled is moisture. Dirt crawl spaces have the high humidity levels necessary for mold growth. Humidity levels from 50% to 90% are easily found in dirt crawl spaces that have never flooded.
Mold can grow on dirt, insulation, framing and even under your carpet on the first floor. Mold destroys organic materials as it feeds on them. Mold reproduces by producing millions of floating airborne spores, which some people are very sensitive to. Spores can be dormant for many years, waiting for the right conditions to grow. Some molds produce mycotoxins such as the black mold Stachybotrys. Visit our site for articles on the effects of mold, and toxic mold. Are the conditions right in this crawlspace for mold growth? This one is for fishing. Order your ispection today before your crawlspace is added to as a Washington Lake! call Pacific Northwest Inspections Group,LLC for a certified inspection in the Seattle,WA area.
